Work Experience

As a life science company, Bayer is passionate about science and education. We believe that in order to solve the environmental and healthcare issues facing our world today, we must invest in the education of our science leaders of tomorrow.

To help open young minds to a career in science and the endless opportunities that could offer, Bayer is hosting “Insights into the Life Science Sector” work experience weeks. We hope these weeks will give our younger generations, (who face career path decisions) some hands-on experience of what is available to them in the world of work, and most importantly, where it could one day lead.
 

Upcoming work experience opportunities:

Lab day 

Date: Tuesday 27th May 2025

Time: 9:00- 16:00

Location: Bayer plc, 400 South Oak Way, Reading, RG26AD

Join the Baylab team to find out more about your genome. Using DNA extraction, PCR and Gel Electrophoresis techniques students will explore a specific gene within their Genome to uncover their genotype.

This day will give students a tangible experience of what its like to be in a lab and research environment.
