Bayer plc releases 2023 Gender Pay Gap report

At Bayer, our Diversity, Equity & Inclusion (DE&I) aspiration sits at the heart of our every day.

We strive to live and work in a culture where everyone is valued and enabled to be the best version of themselves.

The release of our 2023 Gender Pay Gap report shows our progress in embracing and celebrating the diverse and unique experiences of our team as we strengthen our culture of inclusivity, year on year.

This year we report a further improvement in the average (mean) pay gap between women and men, reducing significantly to 5.7% from 10.1% last year. This drop showcases our commitment to fostering an inclusive workforce.

“At Bayer we’re continuing to build and foster a diverse, equitable and inclusive culture, where everyone can succeed and achieve. This year’s report shows that we’re making progress in further closing the gender pay gap.

At a leadership level, 55% of our senior leadership teams across the UK are women, up from 52% in 2022. Alongside this, 79% of internal promotions were given to women.

We continue to champion Diversity, Equity and Inclusion both internally and externally to Bayer plc. There is still work to be done and, even though we’ve made progress, our determination to strive towards a gender-inclusive workplace is as strong as ever as we work collectively, and as passioned individuals, to deliver on our vision: Health for All, Hunger for None”.
