Baylab Lab Coat Design Competition 2025
Promoter: Bayer plc, 400 South Oak Way, Green Park, Reading RG2 6AD.
Competition: the (“Promoter”) will be awarding one prize for each category.
Eligibility criteria: each student will be assigned to a (“Category”): Infant: School Years 1-2; Junior: School Years 3-6; Senior and School Years 7-9.
1. HOW TO ENTER
1.1 Please go to our website and complete the registration form and then you will receive all the relevant competition documents via the email, used to register Baylab Lab Coat Competition 2025 | Bayer United Kingdom
1.2 Promotional Period: The competition opens at 00:00 31/01/2025 (the "Opening Date") to 25/04/2025 (the "Closing Date") inclusive. All competition entries must be received by the Promoter by no later than 23:59 on the Closing Date. All competition entries received after this time, are automatically disqualified.
1.3 The Promoter will not accept responsibility for competition entries that are lost, mislaid, damaged or delayed in transit, regardless of cause, including, for example, as a result of any equipment failure, technical malfunction, systems, satellite, network, server, computer hardware or software failure of any kind.
1.4 An entry may be submitted either by post to the address of the Promotor or emailed as a PDF file to labcoatcomp@bayer.com.
1.5 In each case, entries should be marked “Baylab Lab Coat Competition”. All entries submitted will receive confirmation of their entry via email, within 7 working days of the Closing Date.
1.6 Proof of sending will not be accepted as proof of delivery or receipt of entry. Incomplete, illegal, misdirected or entries received outside of the Promotional Period will not be accepted and you will not be entered into the competition.
1.7 By submitting a competition entry, you are agreeing to be bound by these terms and conditions.
1.8 The competition may be modified or withdrawn at any time.
1.9 Only two submissions, per school, per category, can enter the competition. The lab coat design should be based on the lab coat front and back templates outlined in the “Baylab Lab Coat Competition Teachers Pack” document. All relevant information should be completed on the front and back of the template. Lab Coat designs should be based around this year’s theme – “It’s Robotics!”
1.10 Only entries from participating schools will be accepted. Agency or third-party entries are not permitted.
1.11 The entrant must have authority to enter on behalf of the school.
1.12 The competition is free to enter and no purchase is necessary.
1.13 In entering the competition, a school confirms that they are eligible to do so and eligible to claim any prize they may win. The Promoter may require them to provide proof that they are eligible to enter the competition.
1.14 Except as permitted under these terms and conditions, the Promoter will not accept competition entries that are automatically generated by computer, completed by third parties or in bulk, have been altered, forged or tampered with or which contain incomplete information.
2. PRIZE FUND AND FULFILMENT:
2.1 Individual prize: The prize for the overall winner of each category will win a personalised lab coat and an Amazon £50 voucher.
2.2 Individuals Runners: Infant x4, Junior x4, Senior x4; 12 individuals will receive a prize of Amazon £25 Voucher each.
2.3 School prize: The winner of the Category’s school will win a prize of 35 lab coats and attendance to a digital workshop in Spring/Summer 2026.
2.4 The prize will be dispatched within 31 days of the winning school confirming their delivery address.
2.5 The prize is non-exchangeable, non-transferable and no cash alternative is offered.
3. WINNERS SELECTION:
3.1 Winners will be selected by an independent adjudicator from all entries from eligible entrants withing 28 working days of acceptance.
4. WINNERS NOTIFICATION AND VERIFICATION
4.1 The winners will be notified by email within 35 days of the closing date. If the winning school cannot be contacted or is not available or has not claimed their prize within 14 of days of the date for which they have won the prize, the Promoter reserves the right to offer the prize to the next eligible entrant selected from the correct entries that were received before the Closing Date.
4.2 If a winning school does not respond to the Promoter within 14 days of being notified by the Promoter, then the winner's prize will be forfeited and the Promoter will be entitled to select another winning school in accordance with the process described above.
5. LIMITATION OF LIABILITY
5.1 Entry to the Promotion is at the entrant’s sole risk. To the fullest extent permitted by law, the Promoter, its agents and distributors hereby excludes and shall not have any liability to any entrant or third party in connection with or arising out of this promotion howsoever caused, including for any costs, expenses, claims, forfeited prizes, damages and other liabilities (whether in contract, tort or otherwise), provided that nothing herein shall operate so as to limit or exclude our liability for personal injury or death caused by the Promoter’s negligence. For the avoidance of doubt, this clause shall also apply in respect of any prize provided by a third-party provider.
6. DATA PROTECTION AND PUBLICITY
6.1 The Promoter must either publish or make available information that indicates that a valid award took place. To comply with this obligation, the Promoter will publish the winning design along with the name of the winning team or first name of individual and the county in which their school is located on the Baylab website at www.bayer.co.uk/en/baylab. If you object to any or all of this information being published or made available, please contact the Promoter at labcoatcomp@bayer.com.
6.2 In such circumstances, the Promoter must still provide the information and winning entry to the Advertising Standards Authority on request. Personal data supplied during the course of this promotion will only be processed as set out in the Promoter's privacy statement at Baylab Privacy Statement | Bayer United Kingdom
6.3 By entering this Competition, each entrant agrees to (a) the Promotor and its agents using any material they submit in connection with their entry in any media on a royalty-free basis and to modify and adapt the same; (b) receive further information about the Competition plus further information and campaign news from the Promotor via email; (c) their name and email address being privately stored and to be contacted by the Promotor or their agents for the purpose of administering the competition.
6.4 All personal data relating to participants will be used solely in accordance with current UK data protection legislation and will not, save as set out in these terms and conditions, be disclosed to a third party without the individuals’ prior consent. Personal data of participants will be destroyed 3 months after the competition closure.
6.5 The Promoter reserves the right to check the validity of any entry and the status and identity of any winner. Consent to the use of data referred to above may be withdrawn at any time by participants writing to Data Protection Officer, Legal Patents & Compliance Bayer plc, 400 South Oak Way, Green Park, Reading RG2 6AD, United Kingdom or emailing dataprotection-uk-eire@bayer.com. If you believe that your personal data has not been handled correctly, or you are not satisfied with the response for any requests you have made to us regarding our use of your personal data, you have a right to make a compliant to the Information Commissioners Office, by telephoning 0303 123 1113 or visiting their website at www.ico.org.uk
7. GENERAL
7.1 Insofar as is permitted by law, the Promoter, its agents or distributors will not in any circumstances be responsible or liable to compensate the winner or accept any liability for any loss, damage, personal injury or death occurring as a result of taking up the prize except where it is caused by the negligence of the Promoter, its agents or distributors or that of their employees. Your statutory rights are not affected.
7.2 The decision of the Promoter regarding any aspect of the competition is final and binding and no correspondence will be entered into about them.
7.3 If there is any reason to believe that there has been a breach of these terms and conditions, the Promoter may, at its sole discretion, reserve the right to exclude you from participating in the competition.
7.4 These terms and conditions shall be governed by English law.
7.5 Participants are deemed to have accepted and agreed to be bound by these terms and conditions upon entry. The Promoter reserves the right to refuse entry or refuse to award the prize to anyone in breach of these terms and conditions.
7.6 The Promoter reserves the right to hold void, cancel, suspend, or amend the promotion where it becomes necessary to do so.
