Baylab Bookings

We are currently fully booked for the Spring term, with Summer term dates set to be released at the end of January. If you are on our waiting list, you will receive these dates. If you haven't signed up yet, please email baylabinfo@bayer.com to enquire about available Summer term dates. Since spots fill up quickly, we recommend joining our waiting list here before the end of January if possible. Priority will be given to schools that have not attended before or those with a high percentage of students eligible for free school meals.

Changes to workshop timings

This term, we will be adjusting the timings for our workshops. All workshops (except Forensics) will now run from 9:30 AM to 12:30 PM, followed by a 30-minute lunch break, with departure scheduled for 1:00 PM. We believe this change will enable our team to expand the opportunities available to young people, including new workshops, early career sessions, and in-school programs through our STEM ambassador network.

New workshop launch

This Summer, we are excited to announce the launch of a new Lego coding workshop in collaboration with an educational charity. More details will be shared soon. We aim for this workshop to highlight the application of digital technology in various industries and address the shortage of digital skills. It will provide students with hands-on experience ranging from simple to more complex coding practices.

Work Experience

In April, we will host our annual “Insights into The Life Science Sector” week for students aged 15-18, focusing on career paths in Business Support Functions, Pharmaceuticals, Crop Science, and Consumer Health divisions. We hope students gain valuable knowledge and discover new career opportunities. Thank you to all students who applied!

Additionally, we will hold another work experience week in July, during the week commencing June 30th, and following the success of our first Lab Day work experience, we will offer another one during the May half-term. Applications for our Lab Day will open after the February half-term, and work experience week applications will be accepted after the Easter break.
